My Last Day of NYFW && The Face Dinner

Though monday night was [sadly] my last night in NYC, it was definitely one of my favorites! The whole day was exciting from start to finish, so I thought it deserved a little round up of it’s own.

One of my favorite things in the world is getting my hair done- especially blowouts [I mean, being able to drink wine while someone else washes and styles your hair? What’s not to like?]. So you can imagine my happiness when I found out that Katy and I were being sent to Drybar for blowouts! My first Drybar experience was definitely a great one- I can not WAIT until they open in Chicago!

Felt a little silly getting styled in my sequins, but we had to run straight from the salon to the Alice & Olivia presentation and then to dinner. Here’s a photo of our finished style!

I decided to go simple and straight since my dress was such a standout. The pictures seriously don’t do the sparkle justice! I’ve been loving this pinned to one side style as of late. It’s dressy while being down, and it keeps me from touching my hair all night!

The Alice + Olivia presentation was probably my favorite of the week- beautiful dresses, feminine details and, of course- LOTS of sparkles! Also met one of my favorite on and off screen style inspirations, Kelly Rutherford [you probably know her as Lilly Van Der Woodsen on gossip girl, aka, my style crush] I can only hope to look this beautiful when I’m her age!

After the presentation, it was straight over for dinner to celebrate Season 2 of The Face on Oxygen Network [season 2 premieres in early 2014]. I was able to meet so many of the amazing people who run the social networks at popular fashion magazines [it’s always great to meet the face behind the handle!] and of course, the judges of season 2.

Naomi Campbell, Nigel Barker, Lydia Hearst, Anne V

I was actually sitting across from Nigel at dinner, who should seriously consider adding a ‘relationship advice’ section to his next book. Men take note: He buys his wife heels [Christian Louboutin] throughout the year #StepUpYourShoeGame.

Nigel told me I was funny. How was YOUR monday night?

Thank you to the Face and Oxygen for the fabulous day! You know just how to make a girl feel fabulous.
