If you’re vacationing or new in town, Bottega Louie is one of my California favorites. It’s in an old bank in downtown LA and it’s seriously gorgeous. The food is great, the restaurant is beautiful, but the desserts are what they’re known for. They have a wall of rainbow macarons ranging in flavor from rose to earl grey [my personal favorite]. You have to stop in and get some to bring home as gifts- or get them for yourself. To eat in your bath tub. With wine.
