I’m back with another DIY Halloween Costume! Better late than never, right? Riiight?
Materials:
Stretchy, Spandex-y Fabric
Matching Thread
Fabric Paint
1-2 Paint Brushes
Tape
Sewing Pins
Makeup:
L’Oreal BB Cream: Medium
NARS Laguna Bronzer
Eyeshadow: White Highlight, Brown from NARS ‘Brousse’ in crease
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
Revlon Lip Butter: Lollipop
Too Faced ‘Mood Swing’ Gloss
Nails:
Essie: ‘Luxedo’
Tips:
This one is even easier than the last- no zipper required! I actually hand stitched the version I wore back in college, but I highly recommend a sewing machine for a fast finish.
You could use felt n place of the black paint, but I found that cutting out the bubble letters into fabric was far more difficult than free handing them with some fabric paint. BUT that would definitely be an option if you are A). A genius with scissors or B). Don’t have time for paint to dry and want to quick stitch/staple/glue on some fabric. Do wachya gotta do!
You could paint party hats to resemble a true crayon, but I prefer this colored headband option. Easy, pretty and you might already have something usable!
I styled this costume with some simple black heels- you could also wear opaque black tights if it’s cold where you live.
This costume is great if you need an easy, last minute idea- or great if you want to plan it out to wear with a group of friends! My friends and I made the costumes in ‘Fabulous Fuchsia’, ‘Beautiful Blue’ and ‘Gorgeous Green’. You can have so much fun with the color names!
Weird fact: one of my very first AIM screen names was ‘PinkCrayons’ [and some random numbers]. Sensing a theme yet? I JUST LOVE CRAYONS SO MUCH.

I’m going to try to be back tomorrow to show you what I wore for Halloween 🙂 Talk to you soon!
