For this you need:
1. Cap
2. Rhinestones
3. Self Adhesive Letters && Numbers
4. Sequin Embroidered Bow
5. Super Glue
The Rhinestones I used came in rows of 5
and were self adhesive. They were in the scrapbooking
aisle of Hobby Lobby (All supplies were purchased there!)
and they cost $2.99 per pack (2 are needed for the hat).
To do this literally all you have to do is peel && stick!
The stones look like they took SO much more time than they actually did!
This whole process takes about 5 minutes to complete.
Each side takes 2 strips and about 5 to 6 more stones.
Just measure the amount needed and pull the adhesive back with
the stones to keep them together.
After this step is complete, arrange the letters the
way you want them to look! I arrange them first
so that I can keep the shape && design will sticking them on.
You don’t have to, but it helps to see the finished look
before sticking because once they are stuck they can not be removed.
You don’t have to use adhesive letters- you could also use paint or
glitter pens to do whatever design you’d like!
After finishing the design, I’m now super glueing this embroidered
bow to the center of the hat.
I’m also glueing the lower ribbon of the bow
to the hat for added security.
Make sure you move the tassle out from under the bow
so it’s not glued in place! (You want to be able to switch your tassel
after graduating!)
Here’s the finished look!
I did this look for my graduation last year-
my roommate from all of college is graduating this year
so I wanted to surprise her with this one.
I did this with my friend the night before we graduated
college last year- it was such a fun last thing
for us to do together before the end!
Even if you’ve already graduated, you could still do this
to keep as a decoration. I had my hat sitting out next to
my diploma for months!
Another fun thing to do would be coordinate the colors to
match your school- get creative with it && make it your own!

I remember my high school banning us from putting anything on our caps when I graduated years ago. One guy tried to and they actually made him replace it with a plain one before they let him pick up the diploma. I always thought that rule was so silly!
